August, 2006
In August, 2006, Nancy's painting "Woods in Snow", 20"x24 oils, won the Arnold Tiernan Award at the Montgomery County Fair for best exhibit in Adult Professional Oils in the Arts and Crafts Department. In December it was accepted into the Rockville Art League's juried show at the Glenview Mansion, Rockville Civic Center, and was then sold.
January, 2007
"A Lone Gull at Dawn", 30"x40" oils, won Best in Show in the annual members' show, "Into the Blue", given by the Frederick County Art Association at the Gallery of the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center, Frederick, MD. This painting was highlighted and Nancy interviewed in a presentation about the show on ARTSCAPE on Comcast Cable 10 TV.
